Booklet: 75 Hair Styles

I stumbled  across a very old posting of 1960s hairdos and setting patterns  on   Livejournal: Vintage Hair  - Hairstyles for vintage enthusiasts. It is so old and buried that I thought it would be a good idea to reprint here, particularly since old websites and postings seem to have a habit of disappearing ( the original image links already don seem to work well).  The scan are from the booklet "75 Hair Styles". Enjoy!

  1. Really nice vintage hair styles! I wonder where you got this booklet! I wish I could also have one. Actually I love new hairdos and use my hair dryer to give them perfect looks. I own one of the best hair dryers from sedu.

  2. Booklets like this one, as well as vintage hairdressing books and magazines occasionally show up on Ebay, so if you want one make a point of looking there every so often.

  3. Very interesting vintage 60s hairstyles. I grew up in the 60s to mid 70s - I was 12 in 1969! I was slightly disappointed that I did not see a setting pattern for the cover style though. That's been sort of the kind of style - without rollers at all - in the 80s and 90s, and still wear a variation of it today. I just turned 67 yesterday, so you can tell how long some styles work for some people! Almost always wear bangs down just past my eyebrows, snipped at the ends for variation (I forget the name of the technique involved) instead of straight across (I don't "do 4th grade style" bangs. I did them then, at constant objections, and that's where I left them!) good fullness at the crown and back, close on the sides, slightly over the ears, and down the nape. With the right cut, I can get it done with some root lifting or setting spray or a good mousse, my blow dryer and a round brush. A bit of finishing spray, and I'm good for the day!
